About the Artist
Greengate Gallery and Culross Pottery are now under one roof with Biscuit Cafe, showcasing their own jewellery and pottery alongside other contemporary Scottish artists. Camilla throws and hand builds functional and decorative stoneware pottery, using found objects and fauna to print into the clay. Lindsey makes silver jewellery inspired my movement, increasingly drawn to the Japanese aesthetic.
The Greengate Gallery has recently moved down the Back Causeway to its new home in the Pottery and Biscuit Cafe. Camilla has been working in the pottery for 17 years making both thrown and handmade functional pottery as well as her famous medieval watering pots. Her work is on display in Greengate Gallery along with Lindsey's jewellery and other local ceramics, jewellery, paintings, prints and textiles. There is also a wide range of specially selected smaller gifts and cards.
Camilla also runs pottery classes in Culross and courses in France. Please see her website for more information. Lindsey makes silver jewellery, sometimes incorporating enamel and semi-precious stones. She is attracted by motion and her pieces incorporate an element of sound and movement and tend to jingle. They comfortably remind you that they are there and become little friends.
Situated in the heart of the historic village of Culross, the pottery and Greengate Gallery is attached to the well known Biscuit Cafe where you can enjoy delicious coffee, cakes and lunch.
